BORGO SAN ROCCO RESORT
We’re so excited to be celebrating our wedding at the Borgo San Rocco Resort in Savoca, a beautiful historic village perched in the hills of Sicily.
Surrounded by breathtaking views, charming medieval streets, Gothic-Norman churches, and scents of the Mediterranean, Savoca feels like something out of a motion picture film. Francis Ford Coppola chose Savoca as one of the filming locations for The Godfather (1972).
We’ve reserved the entire Borgo San Rocco Resort for our wedding, so our guests will have the whole property to enjoy throughout the celebration. The resort combines historic buildings with modern accommodations, all set within the beautiful surroundings of the village.

GETTING TO ITALY
Where should I fly?
Catania (CTA) is the airport we recommend. It is the closest major airport to Savoca and is approximately 1 hour from the resort by car, depending on traffic. When searching for flights, please use Catania (CTA) as your final destination rather than Palermo. We will have organized transportation from the airport to the resort.
Coming from Edmonton?
Edmonton → Calgary → Rome → Catania
This is the most direct option. From Rome, you can take a short domestic flight to Catania.
Edmonton → Toronto or Montreal → Rome → Catania
There are regular Canada–Rome routes from both Toronto and Montréal. Air Canada has just announced a direct flight from Montreal to Catania - this may be an option as well. We will update this page when dates are available!
Edmonton → Frankfurt/Amsterdam/London → Catania
Another option is to connect through one of Europe's major airports and continue directly to Catania. There are direct flights from Edmonton to many major European cities.
